6 New Construction IC/Non-IC/Airtight Recessed Housing - Perfect for Kitchen, Bathroom & Living Room Lighting Installation

This 6" recessed light housing is designed for use in new construction or accessible ceilings. The Non-IC and IC rated and Airtight universal J-box features 1/2" and 3/4" knockouts for rigid or BX fittings, knockout free Romex clamps, and a removable housing for field inspection of wires. The junction box has snap-out sides, a full wrap-around plaster frame, overspray protection, a notched housing for chalkline alignment, integral nailers for wood joist construction, and integral T-bar mounting clamps. The hanger bars will span 24" T-bar spacing. Adjusts to fit ceiling from 1/2" to 2-1/2" thick. Performance tested to ASTM E283 Airtight requirements, including IECC, CA Title 24 and Washington State Energy Codes.
